Having read and loved Christopher Laverty's Fashion in Film, I was over the moon to receive a copy of Hal Rubenstein's Dressing the Part.

From Brideshead Revisited, to Sex and The City, and Gossip Girl, there is a show to peak everyone's interest within this book.

Rubenstein combines his rich knowledge of fashion with stunning photographs and in-depth interviews from industry professionals to create this exquisite survey of our favourite TV shows and their lasting impact on our wardrobes today. It is a beautiful compilation of fashion's on-screen legacy. It makes for an incredibly interesting and enjoyable read.

My favourite shows which were included were: Downton Abbey (of course!), Killing Eve, and Bridgerton. It is with immaculate detail that Rubenstein picks apart costume decisions from within their context.

I absolutely adore this book and will be picking it up alongside my morning coffee for the foreseeable future!
