Welcome to my cosy corner
In this space, I share book reviews, hidden-gem coffeeshops, and snippets of my adventures in the UK and beyond.
If you are into slow living and all things cosy, you’re in the right place. So, stick the kettle on, and have a browse!
I started this page because, quite simply, I get inspired by a lot of things. And I have a yearning for all things cosy. This blog, and my Instagram, became my little outlet to share with you my favourite things from books, films, and the loveliest places for you to leave your heart.

A female protagonist can be complex, and yes, arrogant, whilst remaining likeable. Alice Kyteler is an example of that.
My favourite book of 2025 is a masterclass in claustrophobic suspense…
This book details the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, and proves as uncomfortable as it is powerful. It is unapologetic, uncompromising, and incredibly necessary.
Pen Farthings’s gripping account of how he saved his staff and animals as the US withdrew from Afghanistan in 2021 - it is nothing short of heroic.
A time-stamped agenda for the perfect autmnal day in Cambridge. From haunted bookshops to board game cafes, there’s something for everyone.
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city to one of these cosy, bookish places…
Whether you’ve got a few hours, or a few days, there’s something for everyone in the historic city of York. Here are a few of my favourite things to do, so you get a taste of the best York has to offer.
If you’re in York and you get a chance, these bookshops can’t be missed!
